I found this fabulous recipe for Classic Turkey Lasagna with Bechamel. I have actually never heard of turkey lasagna before, but it sounds amazingly delicious! I hope this will spice up your leftover (if you still have some) turkey after this Thanksgiving Holiday.

Every Mom out there is probably looking for a good gift to give their child’s teacher this holiday season.
I think Sweet Bella Cards has your answer with their Personalized School Note Cards.
“These sweet flat note cards are a great gift to say thank you to your child’s teacher! They feature a brick red schoolhouse with silhouettes of children running into it. These are printed on heavy linen stock and come with matching euro flap envelopes. Set of 8.”

Today’s post has more to do with “surviving” the Thanksgiving holiday that’s in just 4 days! With all of the family around, it can get a bit stressful and hectic. Why not thank yourself for all of your hard turkey cooking work with a nice martini, and what better to go with Thanksgiving than a Pumpkin Pie Martini!
Image + Recipe via Fine Living
Here’s how it’s made...
(Single Serving)
Ingredients:
1/2 oz. Stoli Vanilla (optional to give it kick)
1 oz. Pumpkin Spice liqueur (such as Hiram Walker)
1/2 oz. Kahlua
1/2 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps
1/2 oz. half-and-half
Crushed graham crackers
Cinnamon stick (garnish)
Preparation:
Add all liquids in a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into large martini glass rimmed with crushed graham crackers. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
That’s it!
I’m sure this is a delicious cocktail to top of a perfect meal. Happy toasting everyone!

When doing a little internet research on entertaining, I ran across a plethora of checklists available from Martha Stewart.
She has “celebrations checklists” for events from cookie swaps to bridal showers, “cleaning and home care checklists” for everything from moving to packing and “stocking up checklists” for the kitchen pantry to your first-aid kit.
All are easy to download and the best part, they’re free!
Thanks Martha! I hope this helps (as it will help me) in getting your home ready for the holidays and all of the fun events to come.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Who doesn’t love the scent of lavender?
I do! These lavender-filled sachets can be used in a multitude of ways. The Lavender Road’s ETSY shop recommends giving them as a hostess gift, closet freshener or sleep inducer under your pillow! They also mention another benefit which I did not know about...moth repellent. How cool!
I almost always put a dryer sheet or two in my luggage when traveling to keep my clothes smelling nice and clean, but these sachets would be a great alternative!
“These Pretty Little Pillows are a beautiful way to add a lovely scent to any room of your home. They would make a wonderful gift for yourself or a friend.
Each set of Pretty Little Pillows is made from 100% linen. They are filled with lavender and a touch of flax seed. The flax seed makes them feel great...nice and squishy! They stack nicely and look great tossed in a bowl together. Each one measures 4 inches”
Check out The Lavender Road’s Shop for more great finds!
