There is just something about tight bunches of flowers, in a monochromatic pattern that always catches my eye. Whether you’re placing these bunches in small vases throughout the house, or placing a pomander on a banquet table, they can turn any room into an elegant, simple escape.
If you are having trouble picking flowers that go together, or cannot decide how to put together that store-bought arrangement, try buying one type of flower in similar or the same shades. Find your favorite vase, tea tin, coffee cup, or anything that you think would look great holding a flower and arrange away!
Here are similar arrangements spread out in different types of tea tins. As I mentioned above, let your imagination go wild with ideas to hold your beautiful flower arrangements.
And last...look how cute and rustic this tin can arrangement is. Here is the “how to” from ehow - How to make a tin can centerpiece for your wedding. Great idea for a bride or groom who works in advertising, or loves vintage inspired details.

With this beautiful summer we’re having on the East Coast, I’m seeing more and more beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces being used than ever before. I gathered up some fun outdoor garden ideas from around ETSY. I would use all of them! So cute.

I don’t know anyone else who loves organzing and a clean structured shelving system more than I do. To much of my delight, one of my favorite blogs, Apartment Therapy, just did a feature on ”Organized Open Shelving.” With open shelving it can either be a disaster, or a beautiful way to show off your favorite hat boxes or antiques
They supplied us with some lovely photos of some simple and classic organized open shelving, and left us with a little advice on how to create this look for yourself.

Do you have drab and outdated dining room chair cushions? If you are on a budget and want to give your dining room or living room chairs a new look...simply add an old sweater!
Yes, a sweater. I found this great DIY, How To: Repurpose Old Sweaters into Chair Covers - from Apartment Therapy.

I am just in awe over these beautiful solar lanterns from Allsop Home & Garden! Forget all of those cords and candles for regular lanterns...these take the cake, and they’re “green” as well.
How perfect would these be at an outdoor event like a baby shower, wedding or a simple backyard BBQ?
