When doing a little internet research on entertaining, I ran across a plethora of checklists available from Martha Stewart.
She has “celebrations checklists” for events from cookie swaps to bridal showers, “cleaning and home care checklists” for everything from moving to packing and “stocking up checklists” for the kitchen pantry to your first-aid kit.
All are easy to download and the best part, they’re free!
Thanks Martha! I hope this helps (as it will help me) in getting your home ready for the holidays and all of the fun events to come.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

The modern bride and groom have so many useful tools these days in planning their wedding. You can pretty much do anything on your phone that you had previously done from your computer or on a spreadsheet.
I have researched and found the top 5 (in my opinion) bride apps that would not only help in the planning process, but save a lot of time.
1. iWedding Deluxe:
iWedding Deluxe is an organizer app which uses many of the built in features of the iPhone and iPod Touch to help with the organization of your big day thus keeping all the vital information at your fingertips.
2. Bride Guide:
A wedding planner with everything that you need to plan a successful and stress-free wedding.
3. Wedding 911by theKnot:
Think of it as your on-the-go source for expert wedding advice—from when to cut the cake to how to line up your bridal party at the ceremony.
4. Wedding Wire:
Your planning details are always at your fingertips with WeddingWire’s iPhone and iPod Touch application. Tracking payments, finding local vendors and managing your to-do list has never been easier.
5. Gotta ETSY:
If you’re not using ETSY as a resource, you’re missing out! They have everything wedding related that you’re looking for, even a section dedicated to the event.
Visit the Apple Store and download iTunes to find these great apps and get planning!

The Wedding Road Trip blog has posted ”The Ten Bridesmaid Commandments” (all meant in good fun of course...)
Read for a good laugh...hopefully none of you have experienced these kind of “demands” from a Bridezilla of your own!

Elizabeth Anne Designs has given us some great advice on what questions are a must for asking the all important photographer!
I cannot say this strongly enough...you are the client here. Ask as many questions as you feel are necessary and will make you comfortable with all of your wedding vendor choices. They are the experts in their field. They should have no issues answering any questions that you throw their way.
