How to look great in a photograph
Whether you are posing for your wedding photos, or posing for photos while you are out with your friends - looking good in them can be a challenge if you do not know what to do. My Mom was a model in her teen years, and she always told me to hold my shoulders back, stand up straight, and keep my chin down. I try to keep her words of wisdom in mind when sitting on the receiving end of the camera lens. I usually prefer being the one taking the photos, which is probably why I appreciate good photography so much.
Here are some easy tips to look great in photos:
#1 - Stand up pretty. This means stand up straight but be natural. You can do this if you imagine that you are hanging from a cord on the very top of your head. Therefore, your neck is elongated and your ears and shoulders are separated from each other. Tuck in your tummy.
#2 - Hold your shoulders so that they are slightly going back.
#3 - Put one leg in front of the other. That is how the celebrities do it. This way the legs look longer. The knees should be a little bent.
#4 - The camera will capture you slimmer if you rotate your shoulders 3/4 to the front. This will make you and your waist look thinner.
#5 - Lower your chin slightly.
#6 - Look directly in the lens of the camera.
#7 - Let your hands be free, or place your hand on one of your hips.
#8 - Practice. The Hollywood divas were not born like that; they learned it!!
Happy Posing!

Hi,
My bride-to-be and I are looking for suggestions of cute, silly, romantic or just “fun” photos that we can do while still in our wedding post reception that preferably would not “totally destroy” the clothing we are wearing. Can you offer your suggestions?
